The good news for enthusiasts is that they can watch the previous season’s full matches at the end of January.
By the middle of next month, the second season of the much-awaited Call of Duty League will begin. Activision Blizzard told that the Call of Duty League will start around 11th till 14th of February with kick-off matches in 2021. The schedule of the matches is still to be announced.
This amazing and ambitious league started by looking at what Overwatch League did, it blended the teams of each city together and turned it into an e-sport competition. But because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the e-sport Call of Duty League will have to get organized in an online format rather than an event at a venue. The first season of the league ended with Dallas Empire winning. They will be defending their title this season.
This year’s league will incorporate a few things, such as it will have a shift to the online world, and there will be a 4-on-4 gameplay. The things are going to be a lot different for the defending champions today. A new team will also be making their debut in the Call of Duty League second season. The Optic Gaming Los Angeles will be replacing the last year’s Lost Angeles Thieves in the new edition of the Call of Duty League. One similar thing to the last year’s league is that the matches that will happen, all of these matches will be streamed and broadcasted on YouTube.
The season won’t be starting until the middle of February, but there is going to be a preseason event, which will happen on the 23rd January as well as the 24th January. In this event, fans of the league from the cities of Chicago, Dallas, and Atlanta will be able to vote to see who they might play next with.
